Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has come under heavy criticism after saying that any man who forgives a cheating wife will live to regret it.
Naija News reports that Yul made the remark in the wake of the marriage scandal of popular media personality, Frank Edoho, advising men to leave their wives with immediate effect if infidelity occurs.
In the post shared on his 𝕏 handle, Yul Edochie said attempting to forgive a cheating spouse is a sign of weakness.
The movie star further claimed that forgiving an unfaithful woman gives her an excuse to repeat the offence, warning that women tend to deal mercilessly with weak men.
The post read, “Once you find out your wife is cheating on you, leave her immediately. Men, stop tolerating nonsense all in the name of marriage. Don’t negotiate anything with her.
“Don’t condone. Don’t discuss with her boyfriend. Let her go quickly. And move on. If you forgive her and continue, you have confirmed to her that you’re a weak man. Danger looms for you. That decision will come back later to hunt you. Women deal mercilessly with weak men.”
However, the post did not resonate with many netizens, who referenced Yul’s infidelity to his first wife, May Edochie, stressing that the thespian is not in a position to give such advice.
