Our local Premier League season is slowly drawing to an end .The mighty Gor Mahia Football club is leading the pack. The team seemed to have regained there winning streak . During the last season , they were dethroned by the brewers.This time they seemed to have went back to the drawing board. They corrected the mistakes that cost them their spot in the football scene in Kenya and now back to their former glory.
K’ogalo is currently leading the table with sixty seven points.The team is closely followed by Tusker FC.Tusker Fc is the current holder of the trophy. With just two more games to go , Gor is just two points ahead of their closest opponent. Gor has a better chance of taking it home .However ,as they say football is a football . Anything can happen . It’s unpredictability is what makes it an interesting sport .No wonder it is loved by millions of people of different ages , sex and even religion across the vast globe.
The participating eighteen teams still have two games each to play.These games are to be played on 21st and 24th June before the final clash at the beginning of the month of July.
The season had its own surprises.The long time arch rivals AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia met and there was fireworks as always. After a long time , AFC Leopards managed to beat their rivals in another episode of Mashemeji derby.
Other teams such as Bandari , Kakamega Homeboyz , Kenya Police , Kariobangi Sharks , Bidco , Posta Rangers and many others have put a good show despite the many challenges faced by both the players and the team managers.
