According to an update by homa Bay Governor Gladys wanga, she was part of a delegation that held a meeting on Monday morning to discuss ways to eradicate the increase of HIV and AIDS in Luo Nyanza.
The meeting was between governors drawn from the region together with representatives from an international organisation who visited is the county of homabay to discuss on ways that they can come up with measures that will see young people curb the disease.
The meeting was attended by four governors from the region who included the governor for kisumu County Anyang Nyongo, the governor for migori County Ochillo Ayacko, and the governor for Siaya County James orengo
The latest statistic report from the region showed that cases of HIV infections have reduced drastically, but more measures need to be put in place to ensure that new.
The meeting recommended that drastic measures should be put in place by the county governments so as to safeguard the community from further infections
