Laughter At State House As Ruto Takes A Swipe At New CASs Who’ve Been Sworn Into Office

President William Ruto has today overseen the swearing in of all the fifty appointed Chief Administrative Secretaries into their respective offices in a process that has taken place at State House in Nairobi.

During this event, the head of state caused laughter to the audience once he took to the podium to deliver his speech. This is after he directly took a swipe at the Chief Administrative Secretaries though in a good and perhaps funny way.

He began by recognizing that despite having taken up their new roles, most of them have gained experience working in other fields in the previous years.

He further caused laugheter when he narrated that some of them had worked previously as bloggers a position that his close ally Dennis Itumbi was in before he appointed him. He added that others have managed to work as MPs and even governors.

“I know many of you have come from a broad array of expertise, knowledge and areas of interest. In our midst here today we’ve had people whos served as MCAs others who’ve served as bloggers (laughter). Others who served formerly as members of parliament, cabinet secretaries and governors but today you have joined my team to work for the people of Kenya in the position of administrative secretaries. You have taken oath this morning before me and this solemn gathering,” said President William Ruto.
