Raila would be in State House if he listened to me – Kanchory

Saitabao Kanchory, who was in charge of campaigning for Raila Odinga in August’s elections, claims that the Azimio leader would have triumphed had he listened to him.

On Thursday, Kanchory interviewed Spice FM, claiming that despite reporting directly to Raila, no one paid attention to him.

“He did not listen to me. If Raila listened to me, he would be in State House today, and he knows. I was right on 99.9 per cent of what I told him,” Kanchory said.

He was the only member of Raila’s presidential board to tell him the truth, which is why Raila chose him.

“The only problem I have is that with time my voice of reason was overruled by the other better-placed advisors, and that is why we are in this mess,” he said.

Kanchory asserted that ODM only paid attention to Suna East MP Junet Mohamed in December 2022.

This comes after the Azimio faction began passing the buck over who was to blame for Raila’s electoral defeat.
