The Nairobi County Assembly is one of the most important in the country where the respective heads are taken very seriously as they are in charge of crucial dockets in the country.
The Governor for Nairobi, Anne Kananu who is outgoing, has this afternoon made some serious changes to the running of the county affairs in the County a month to the elections as per the reports that we have with us.
According to reliable reports from Nairobi County this afternoon, the Governor has made some changes to the Finance docket as well as the Disaster Management docket in the County Assembly this afternoon at City Hall.
Joseph Gathiaka, who has been the acting Head of the County Treasury in Nairobi, has taken over as the Finance Chief Officer immediately as per the communique from the City Hall this afternoon.
Mohamed Sahel, has been the Finance Chief Officer but he has been moved by the Governor to the Health docket in the same capacity this afternoon as per the information from the County.
The Disaster Management docket has been taken over effectively by Brian Kisali as the Chief Officer in an acting capacity according to the reports that we have with us.
The new acting Chief Officer of Trade, Commerce and Industrialization is Elizabeth Njau in the County given the changes that have been made by Anne Kananu this afternoon.
The governor said that the changes have been made to enable better service delivery to the people across the county.
The changes come barely a month to the August General Elections as per the reports that we have with us.
