The Reset Ghana Agenda, is a tool among others for a Mindset Revolution to change the negative narratives to positive narratives for the socio-economic developments of Ghana.
So, in order to ensure the rapid success of the socio-economic developments of Ghana, hence success of the Reset Agenda, there is the urgent need for the Reset Agenda to move beyond just economic and infrastructure repairs, to also acknowledging or re-counting and celebrating the good works of some Ghanaians, as achievers.
That is to say, it is very important to highlight the good works/achievements of patriotic, intelligent, intentional, and disciplined and God fearing persons for others to emulate. So highlighting the achievements and good work of individuals, is critically important for the success of Ghana’s Reset Agenda.
Celebrating them support the Reset Agenda in three ways, namely (a). Encouraging a culture of good performances, through fostering healthy competitions and sets a standard of excellence, whether in private enterprise, local government or in civil service. (b). Boosting global and domestic morale. By highlighting a success story, gives positive story about Ghana, celebrating local innovators, successful entrepreneurs would shift the national narrative away from cynicism thus rallies the public around a shared vision of a thriving self-reliant nation. (c). Builds public confidence.
By this attempts, it would help to motivate the current and future generations or simply other citizens to emulate the good works of the shakers of and the achievers in the economic and social fronts.
So, by a research work by this writer, Rev Dr. Gifty Lamptey, has been found as a person of great entrepreneurial tenacity and great philanthropic work dubbed year as a New Citizen of Ghana as postulated by President Nkrumah and being championed by His Excellency President JD Mahama with a Reset Agenda/24hour economy system .

Dr. Gifty Lamptey is breaking barriers, as one of the top Businesswomen or Superwomen in Africa by demonstrating that female entrepreneurs can excel in male dominated sectors. She is also in the Christian Ministry as an astute Reverend Pastor, who is doing a lot of humanitarian and philanthropic works. So, she is regarded as the Africa female champion, by her breaking new grounds, business success and making effective social impact.
As part of the modernization and transformation of the Agriculture Sector which is the engine of economy she pioneered the importation and distribution of liquid fertilizers in Ghana, broke into male dominated sector of petroleum industry to become a major bulk oil distributor. She expanded her business across multiples sectors like real estate with Del Estate Sildalco Civil Building and Road Construction, manufacturing of concrete. Thus recognized as a pioneering female leader for building Sildalco Group, and above all her commendable humanitarian and Philanthropic works beyond business.
So, History tells that, she is a Founding Partner of and CEO of Sildalco of Group of Companies, a Reverend Pastor and a Philanthropist par excellence. Hence, a trailblazer business woman and a dedicated Humanitarian person and Philanthropist par excellence. Driving Food Security and economic growth
Rev Dr Gifty Lamptey, an intentional and disciplined corporate titan or superwoman and a Compassionate Humanitarian person, started from a humble beginning of an employee in the catering industry and then ventured into the food processing industry of non-traditional crops.
Her products included mushroom, papaya, pineapples, and mango in the Agribusiness industry, which started in 1990, as part of value addition to support food security, hence national security. She later on, took to the exporting of same nontraditional crops to help in the improving of the economic fundamentals of Ghana by expanding the provision of jobs for her fellow Ghanaians.
As part of an effort for the transformation and the modernization of the Agricultural Sector, she and her late beloved husband namely the late Hon Mr David Lamptey came out with the manufacturing of Agriculture machinery for the agro industries thus supporting Agribusinesses.
The married couple, came out with an innovation in Agriculture, with the introduction of liquid fertilizers, named as Sildalco Liquid Fertilizer, very easily to be absorbed by plants, thus seriously required in areas with not much rainfall in Ghana and in the West African sub region.
The Sildalco Liquid Fertilizer was well tested globally and found highly effective especially for food crop cocoa and other cash productions. As such, the Sildalco liquid fertilizer became and is still a game changer for cash crops and cocoa farmers in the Western Region and across the wider Agricultural sector to support economic growth.
Industrial diversification
As part of her vision to build a sustainable and global business Group or Sildalco Group of Companies was established as a Conglomerate by Rev Dr Gifty Lamptey, when she expanded her businesses into the building and road construction sectors, by the establishment of a Concrete batch plant with the business named as Empire Concretes Ltd. Thus, Empire Concretes Ltd, supplies the construction and building sectors with readily mix superior quality concrete for estate building, roads and other constructions. With Empire Concrete Ltd, she got interested and entered into the building and roads construction industries with Sildalco Construction Unit Ltd, in the Real Estate Industry with DEL Estate Ltd, and also Wire Weaving Ltd as part of the Conglomerate, namely Sildalco Group of Companies.
The Sildalco Group under her authority in 2009, took an interest to venture into the downstream energy sector as a bulk distribution oil firm. So she established Dominion International Petroleum Ltd. By 2012, after meeting the statutory and regulatory requirements, Dominion International Petroleum Ltd started businesses with huge storage tanks and loading gantry in Tema. Thus, became the prime Ghanaian Bulk Distribution Firm, to enter into this operation in the downstream energy sector by importing full shipment of not less than 28,000 metric tons of gasoline for her nation.
Dr Gifty Lamptey’s Dominion International Petroleum Ltd entering into the Petroleum Downstream sector, acted as a stimulus for massive economic activities and has thus created a lot of jobs and reasonable revenue for Ghana through taxes etc.
Community Development/empowerment and legacy
As part of Sildalco Group of Companies’ Community Social Responsibility and in line with Dr Lamptey’s Christianity work, the Company undertook/undertakes infrastructural projects like Schools, Clinics, Water and Sanitation Projects especially potable water for Host Communities and others.
She ensured humanitarian support for the vulnerable and marginalized communities by dedication to especially the welfare of women, children/orphanages and persons with disabilities. She helped in the improvement of lives through her NGO as the Ladies of the Cross International Foundation which is non- denominational one.
So, her business acumen and her extraordinary philanthropic works made her to be well respected globally as a person with very good leadership qualities, very strong and real religious faith.
Leadership, Global Recognition
For the success of her work for Jesus Christ, she enrolled for a Religious Course at Dayspring University in USA and graduated with B.Sc. degree in Christian Psychology. She later on, pursued Master’s Degree and honorary degree in Christian Psychology.
So, Rev Dr Gifty Lamptey became an astute Reverend Minister or Pastor with deep interest in the welfare of humanity, in the Christian Ministry. Besides getting women to be very close to the teaching of Christ, she has been encouraging and supporting women to take part in entrepreneurship ventures, in order to ensure they give support to their families and back to their communities. She also gives counselling to women on their marital and social affairs.
Due to her very good works as a business titan and as a philanthropist par excellence, she earned global recognitions with honorary degrees from Zaporozhe State Medical School, Ukraine in 2017, Alfred Nobel University in Ukraine in 2018, and. For her commitment to women empowerment, she became an Ambassador for women in Africa, as nominated by the Peristrofi World Honorary International in 2017.
Mama Gifty, as she is affectionately called by her peers, staff and others, is a proud elected and life member of the Institute of Directors UK and she was inducted into the global hall of fame in 2015. She also earned African Female Champion Award and the Top Superwoman in Ghana Award, as a very influential person for the Ghanaian Society in diverse ways.
