MSME Africa has been ranked the 3rd most visited business news website in Nigeria in 2025, according to verified audience intelligence released in the newly published RANKED2026 report by SquirrelPR.

The ranking places MSME Africa alongside some of Nigeria’s leading business and financial media platforms, including Nairametrics and BusinessDay, further reinforcing the platform’s growing influence within Africa’s entrepreneurship and SME ecosystem.

According to the report, MSME Africa recorded 4.56 million visits in 2025, averaging approximately 380,331 monthly visits. The platform ranked behind only Nairametrics and BusinessDay, two established heavyweights in Nigeria’s business media landscape.

The SquirrelPR RANKED2026 report analysed audience intelligence, traffic performance, authority scores, and digital influence across Nigeria’s business media ecosystem to identify the country’s most visited business news platforms shaping conversations around finance, entrepreneurship, markets, policy, and corporate strategy.

The report described MSME Africa as a platform with strong niche authority focused on small business ecosystems, entrepreneurship development, funding opportunities, startup support, and policies affecting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

“MSME Africa focuses specifically on small-business ecosystems, entrepreneurship, funding opportunities, and policy affecting micro, small, and medium enterprises,” the report stated.

According to SquirrelPR, while many business media platforms focus heavily on corporate markets, financial institutions, and macroeconomic reporting, MSME Africa has built a loyal and growing audience by speaking directly to entrepreneurs, startup founders, innovators, and small business operators across Africa.

The report further noted that the platform’s continued growth reflects increasing demand for practical and solution-driven business information tailored to founders building businesses within Africa’s rapidly expanding SME sector.

MSME Africa’s third-place ranking also highlights the growing importance of niche and development-focused journalism within Nigeria’s evolving digital media ecosystem. As more Nigerians turn to entrepreneurship amid economic uncertainty and changing employment realities, platforms offering actionable MSME-focused reporting are attracting stronger audience engagement and loyalty.

The ranking comes at a time when MSME Africa has continued to expand its coverage of grants and funding opportunities, startup accelerators, business support programmes, government intervention schemes, entrepreneurship education, and SME-focused policy updates.

Over the past year, the platform has consistently published high-traffic reports around:

  • Federal Government intervention programmes
  • Tony Elumelu Foundation opportunities
  • Youth grants and business loans
  • African startup accelerators
  • Digital entrepreneurship initiatives

The top two positions in the ranking were occupied by Nairametrics and BusinessDay respectively.

According to SquirrelPR, Nairametrics recorded 22.18 million visits in 2025, while BusinessDay generated 16.19 million visits during the same period.

Other platforms listed in the Top 10 include:

  • Market Forces Africa
  • Proshare
  • Business Post
  • Prime Business Africa
  • Marketing Edge
  • Investors King
  • Brand Communicator

The report noted that one major factor connecting all the ranked platforms is the growing audience demand for reliable economic intelligence, entrepreneurship insights, financial analysis, and business-focused reporting.

For MSME Africa, the recognition reflects the increasing importance of SME-focused journalism within Nigeria’s digital economy and reinforces the platform’s mission to amplify the voice of entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses across Africa.
