Accra, May 25, GNA- Women in Tech Ghana Chapter has received the Activity and Community Engagement Award at the 5th Women in Tech Global Summit Gala Dinner in Cape Town, South Africa.

The award was in recognition of the Chapter’s remarkable growth, strong community engagement and impactful programming, since its launch in November 2024.

The Chapter has delivered numerous trainings and events focused on equipping members with practical, future-ready skills, including personal branding, project management, data analytics, Al for productivity, leadership, and digital literacy.

Mrs Luvina Sandra Atsu, the Chapter Director of Women in Tech Ghana told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that it had advanced social inclusion through outreach programmes and community support initiatives.

The Women in Tech Global Summit 2026 is an annual meeting, which brings together a diverse group of leaders from government, business and civil society to critically examine the current status of women in the technological landscape and set priorities for the forthcoming year.

In an era where technology drives societal change and international relations, this summit served as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders committed to advancing sustainable and prosperous economies.

Participants engaged with cutting-edge discussions on artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, and sustainable technology, exploring how these innovations can be harnessed to create inclusive solutions for all.

The event aimed to inspire action and foster partnerships that empower women to take leadership roles in shaping technological advancements and their impact on society.

This includes donations of essential learning materials and equipment to undeserved schools in the capital city, Accra.

Mrs Atsu said the recognition reflected the collective dedication, resilience, and impact of their community in advancing inclusion, innovation, and opportunities for women.

“Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the dedicated leadership team, partners, sponsors, speakers, mentors and resource persons, who contributed to programmes,” she added.
