Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has said he always makes sure there are clear boundaries when acting with female colleagues in movies.
Naija News reports that he explained that he normally discusses what is acceptable before filming any scene that involves close contact.
The actor made this known during an interview with BBC News Igbo, where he talked about how he handles scenes with actresses.
According to him, he takes time to speak with the female actors so both sides understand what is comfortable for them before the cameras start rolling.
Arukwe said these conversations help to avoid touching areas that could make the actress or her partner uncomfortable.
He explained that the discussion is important because acting sometimes requires closeness, and he believes both actors should agree on what is acceptable.
The Nollywood star is widely known by the nickname Odogwu Paranran from the movie Love In Every Word.
He spoke about rumours linking him with different women especially his colleague, Bambam.
He said the stories are not true and insisted that he is a married man who is simply doing his job as an actor.
He said: “I always discuss boundaries with any female colleague I’m asked to act with. I make sure we talk about what is acceptable before we start filming. I avoid touching areas that could make the actress or her partner uncomfortable. I am a married man. The rumours about me and different women are not true. What people see in movies is just part of my work. The Odogwu character I played opened more doors for me. That role brought more attention to my career. Many people now recognise me because of that character.”
