The wife of late Afrobeats Fuji singer Destiny Boy, Iremide, has broken her silence following the tragic death of her husband at the age of 22.
Recall that Destiny Boy, whose real name is Afeez Adeshina, reportedly passed away on January 18, 2025, after battling an illness known as Ogu Oru. His death came as a shock to fans and colleagues in the music industry, given his young age and rising career.

Breaking her silence, Iremide took to social media to share an emotional bedroom video of herself resting on Destiny Boy’s chest. Alongside the clip, she poured out her heart in a touching tribute, describing him as more than just a husband.
“You were more than a husband; you were my rock, my best friend, and my soulmate,” she wrote. “Your love filled my life with joy, and your kind heart touched everyone you met.”
She went on to recall the intimate moments they shared, from quiet mornings to laughter-filled days, praising his dedication to their family, the sacrifices he made, and his gentle guidance. According to her, although the pain of his absence is overwhelming, she still feels his presence daily.
“Though the void you left is immense, I feel your presence every day. Your love was a blessing, and while my tears fall, they are a testament to the beautiful, deep love we shared,” she added.
Iremide concluded her tribute by vowing to carry on with the strength he instilled in her, stating that although he has left this world, he will forever live in her heart.
The emotional post has since drawn an outpouring of sympathy and support from fans and well-wishers, as many continue to mourn the late singer and extend prayers to his young family.
