Oraimo Expands Beyond Accessories in Kenya

Oraimo is widening its presence in Kenya beyond the audio and mobile accessory categories that helped establish the brand across Africa, unveiling a broader portfolio that now stretches into household products, personal care devices and baby-focused technology.

The company used its Innovation Gala 2026 in Nairobi to present what it described as a connected product ecosystem, bringing together distributors, retailers, technology influencers and media representatives to preview categories that extend well beyond its traditional business of earbuds, smartwatches and charging accessories.

The expansion places Oraimo among a growing group of consumer technology brands seeking larger shares of household spending through a wider range of products. Instead of relying primarily on smartphone-related accessories, companies are increasingly building portfolios that encourage repeat purchases across multiple areas of everyday life.

At the Nairobi event, Oraimo showcased products spanning audio equipment, wearable devices, grooming tools, kitchen appliances, household goods and maternal care products. The lineup included electric trimmers, smartwatches, speakers, blenders, feeding accessories and sterilization equipment aimed at parents.

The move comes as Kenya continues to attract investment from international consumer technology firms looking for a gateway into East Africa. Nairobi has emerged as a key commercial hub for regional distribution networks, supported by an expanding retail sector and growing demand for affordable technology products.

Oraimo’s strategy also places significant emphasis on channel expansion. Beyond product launches, the company highlighted partnerships with distributors, wholesalers and retailers, reflecting the importance of physical retail networks in reaching consumers across the region.

That focus was evident in the makeup of attendees at the gala, where business partners and retail stakeholders featured prominently alongside media and content creators. The company said it plans to continue supporting its commercial network through training programs and partnership initiatives designed to strengthen product availability and market reach.

While the broader ecosystem formed the centrepiece of the event, Oraimo also formally introduced the SpaceBuds 2 wireless earbuds to the Kenyan market following an earlier soft launch. The device includes active noise cancellation, spatial audio capabilities and AI-powered features such as language translation functions.

The launch underscores how competition in Kenya’s consumer electronics market is increasingly extending beyond individual gadgets. Brands are seeking to create product families that span multiple categories, allowing customers to remain within a single ecosystem as they purchase additional devices and household products.

Founded in 2014, Oraimo says it serves more than 200 million users globally and has built its reputation around audio products, wearable devices and mobile accessories. Its latest expansion suggests the company sees future growth in East Africa coming from a much broader consumer technology footprint.
