Tamunosoye Karibi-George Emerges Miss World Nigeria 2026 Winner

Bayelsa State representative, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has emerged winner of Miss World Nigeria 2026 after defeating 19 other contestants at the grand finale held in Lagos.

The 26-year-old beauty queen was crowned at the event staged at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, where contestants competed in multiple rounds including interviews, talent showcase, and evening wear presentations.

Karibi-George, who stood out among 20 finalists, secured the national crown and will now represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival scheduled to hold in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, later in 2026.

She expressed gratitude after her win, describing the moment as a proud achievement for Bayelsa State and pledging to represent Nigeria well on the global stage.

Organisers of the pageant, the Silverbird Group, noted that this year’s competition followed the theme “Pride, Power, and Purpose,” with emphasis on leadership, advocacy, and social impact alongside beauty.

Karibi-George succeeds the outgoing Miss World Nigeria, continuing Nigeria’s representation at the global Miss World competition, which focuses on humanitarian projects under its “Beauty with a Purpose” initiative.
