The Ghana Football Association’s aggressive push to attract corporate investment into the domestic game has received another major boost after global automobile brand JAC Motors unveiled a strategic partnership that will reward league champions, outstanding players and coaches with brand-new vehicles.

The partnership, announced at the Ghana Football Association headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, signals growing corporate confidence in Ghana football and strengthens the GFA’s efforts to leverage commercial partnerships to support both the national teams and domestic competitions.

Under the agreement, JAC Motors, working through its authorised Ghanaian distributor, Tryton Motors Ltd, will support the Black Stars, the Ghana Premier League and the Women’s Premier League through a combination of incentives, logistical support and brand activations designed to enhance the profile and competitiveness of Ghana football.

In a significant incentive package aimed at rewarding excellence, the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League champions and the Women’s Premier League champions will each receive a brand-new vehicle.

Individual excellence will also be recognised, with the Best Player in both leagues and the Coach of the Season in the men’s and women’s competitions set to drive away new vehicles at the end of the campaign.

The rewards will feature a range of JAC vehicle models, including the JAC JS2, JAC JS4 and JAC JS6.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, GFA Vice-President Mark Addo described the agreement as another important milestone in the federation’s expanding portfolio of commercial partnerships.

“This partnership with JAC Motors represents another significant addition to our expanding family of valued sponsors and strategic partners,” he said.

“We are delighted to welcome JAC Motors into the Ghana football ecosystem at a time when the Football Association continues to pursue meaningful collaborations that support the growth and sustainability of the game at every level.”

The deal comes at a crucial period for Ghana football, with the Black Stars preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup while domestic football continues to pursue greater commercial relevance and financial sustainability.

For JAC Motors and Tryton Motors, the partnership extends beyond traditional sponsorship and reflects a longer-term commitment to football development.

Chief Executive Officer of Tryton Motors Ltd, Jihad Hijazi, said the collaboration was built on shared ambition, sustainable growth and meaningful impact.

“Today, we are proud to formalise this partnership between Tryton Motors Limited and the Ghana Football Association, a collaboration built on shared ambition, long-term growth and meaningful impact for Ghana football,” he said.

“This partnership goes beyond sponsorship. It represents a deliberate commitment to supporting an ecosystem that plays an important role in national identity, talent development and the future of sports in Ghana.”

According to Mr Hijazi, the company’s support will focus on three strategic pillars: the Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, the Ghana Premier League and the Women’s Premier League.

He said the objective was not only to provide support and motivation for clubs and players but also to strengthen the link between football, business and local communities.

The Group Business Development Director of Tryton Motors, Fadi Fattal, echoed that vision, explaining that the partnership seeks to increase the visibility and commercial value of Ghana football, reward excellence across the leagues and national teams, promote women’s football and grassroots engagement, and deepen fan interaction through nationwide activations.

The agreement represents another step in the GFA’s broader strategy of positioning football as an attractive commercial platform capable of drawing investment from major corporate brands.

With vehicle rewards now on offer for champions, coaches and outstanding performers, the partnership also introduces one of the most tangible incentive structures seen in Ghanaian football in recent years—an initiative that could raise competition levels while enhancing the prestige attached to domestic success.

Among the senior GFA officials present at the ceremony were General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and Executive Council members Samuel Aboabire and Frederick Acheampong, alongside representatives of JAC Motors and Tryton Motors Ltd.
