Johannesburg, South Africa – The Miss South Africa Organisation confirms that entries for Miss South Africa 2026 have officially opened today, 28 April 2026, and will close on 17 May 2026.
As Miss South Africa enters a new chapter, the 2026 season strengthens the platform’s national role as a movement for leadership, empowerment, and social transformation. Miss South Africa is no longer defined by a single moment on stage. It is a year-long, structured leadership journey that develops women into credible ambassadors, equipped to serve, communicate, and create meaningful impact in communities across South Africa and beyond.
A PLATFORM FOR LEADERSHIP, ENTREPRENUERSHIP AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION
Miss South Africa 2026 invites purpose-driven South African women to step forward into a high-accountability leadership journey, one that is mentored, tested and measured. This is not a shortcut to visibility. It is a demanding development process that requires discipline, character, emotional resilience, and sustained commitment.
Contestants are not competing only for a title; they are stepping into an institution that expects ambassadors who can represent South Africa with credibility, composure, and service-led leadership, while performing under real public scrutiny and professional standards.
THE SOCIAL IMPACT CORNERSTONE: EMPOWER YOUTH AFRICA (EYA)
At the centre of this New Era is Empower Youth Africa (EYA), the platform’s official social and entrepreneurship impact programme, and the engine through which Miss South Africa translates influence into action.
EYA focuses on empowering youth and women through:
1. Entrepreneurship and skills development
2. Youth unemployment (pathways into jobs, training and entrepreneurship)
3. Education access, and knowledge
4. Health and wellness, including mental and financial well-being
5. Civic engagement & Pan-African collaboration
Through EYA, Miss South Africa finalists and the eventual titleholder are expected to be active drivers of impact, engaging directly with communities and contributing to long-term national and continental development.
PATRON’S STATEMENT
“Miss South Africa has entered a new era, one focused on creating impact at scale,” says Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Patron of Miss South Africa.
“This platform is designed to work with the winner and every contestant, equipping them to contribute meaningfully on both local and global platforms. Through entrepreneurship and social impact, Empower Youth Africa, builds a pipeline of ambassadors who understand their responsibility to society and are prepared to lead, influence and drive real change beyond the crown.”
