Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations to Ghana, setting the stage for a landmark tournament that will coincide with a significant moment in the nation’s history.

This will mark the second time Ghana hosts the U-20 AFCON, having previously done so in 1999. On that occasion, the Black Satellites triumphed on home soil, lifting the trophy in front of a jubilant crowdâa memory that still resonates strongly within Ghanaian football circles.
