Hon. Alexander Aguadze, Assembly Member for the Agbakope/Lakpo Electoral Area, has once again demonstrated his commitment to community health by organizing a medical screening exercise on March 5, 2026, in Lakpo. This initiative follows similar programs held in Agbakope in 2024 and 2025, all aimed at ensuring residents remain healthy enough to pursue their daily livelihoods without physical challenges.

The event began at 8:40 a.m. with an educational session led by medical professionals, who addressed eye care, dental hygiene, and ear health. Students from Lakpo D.A. Primary and Lakpo J.S.S., along with other residents, received practical guidance on maintaining good health. Participants were cautioned against self-medicating eye problems and encouraged to seek professional help. Demonstrations on proper brushing techniques emphasized the importance of using soft toothbrushes twice daily, while advice on ear care highlighted that the ear is self-cleaning and should not be tampered with, urging anyone with discomfort to consult a doctor.

After the educational talks, the medical team conducted screenings for hundreds of residents. Those diagnosed with common conditions were given free medication, while patients requiring specialized treatment or surgery were referred to the District Hospital in Sogakope. Hon. Aguadze successfully lobbied for the hospital’s medical team, led by Medical Superintendent Dr. Richard Forson, to support the exercise.
