Popular Nigerian comedian, skit creator, and social media personality Samuel Perry a.k.a Broda Shaggi has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining an alleged gunshot injury in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.
Reports indicate that the incident happened on Sunday afternoon beneath the Sango-Ota bridge while the entertainer was shooting a comedy skit with members of his production crew.
A police source disclosed that Broda Shaggy was injured during the filming, though the precise details surrounding how the incident occurred are still unclear. He was quickly taken to Blooming Care Hospital, where he received initial medical attention.
Afterward, he was transferred to Duchess International Hospital, located in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja, where he is currently said to be recovering.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that authorities were notified by the hospital after a gunshot victim was brought in. Responding officers reportedly found the comedian on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi stated that although the incident occurred in Sango-Ota, outside the Lagos command’s jurisdiction, inquiries are still ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command said the matter has not yet been formally reported within the state.
