The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has made his first public appearance since surviving a serious car crash on the Bolgatanga–Tumu Road on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

A video shared by 1957 News on Friday, February 27, 2026, showed him entering Parliament while engaging in a conversation.

Haruna Iddrisu discharged from hospital after Bolgatanga-Tumu road accident

The Ministry of Education confirmed that Haruna Iddrisu was discharged from the 37 Military Hospital on February 14, 2026, after receiving treatment and being under medical observation for injuries sustained in the accident.

The crash occurred in the early hours of February 12, 2026.

The minister was traveling with the Deputy Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, along with their teams, to attend the 40th-anniversary celebrations of the Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education in the Upper West Region.
