“I will make you a scapegoat” – Actor Uzur Arukwe replies X user who made strong accusations against him and colleague, Bambam

Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has replied to an X user who made strong accusations against him and colleague, Bambam. In the wake of rumours of a separation between Bambam and her husband, Teddy A, the X used had alleged that Teddy A divorced Bambam after finding out she was pregnant with Uzor’s child. The tweep said Teddy got to find out through her leaked private chat with him.

“Popular movie actress Bambam (Achalugo) has been reportedly divorced by her husband after finding out his wife was pregnant with her colleague, who played the role of her Odogwu in their recent movie. He found out through her leaked private chat with him. Hmmm, it’s sad to say women are never to be trustworthy,” the person tweeted.

Reacting to the tweet, Uzor vowed to make him a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation.

“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumours and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time. Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat. Hence, others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation”.

Kemi Filani reported that social media was abuzz after learning that the power couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Online sleuths also noted that Teddy had deleted all pictures of Bambam.

Fans also noted how, during the festive season, Teddy had shared a solo shoot of himself.

Addressing it on his Twitter page, filmmaker, Onyeka Nwelue, who is close to the family, made it known that they’re still together. He stated that nothing has happened to their marriage, and that he chats with them every day.

In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Teddy had spoken about the domestic abuse allegations that once trailed his marriage, saying the claims left emotional scars, damaged his reputation, and contributed to a period of depression. The former BBNaija housemate described the allegations as false and shocking, noting that the rumours caught him and his wife completely by surprise.

Recall that the two met on the hit reality show Big Brother Naija, where they fell in love. The lovebirds made headlines for their relationship during and after the reality TV show.

A year after leaving the show, the couple surprised many when they got engaged on August 4th, and on September 7, 2019, they got married in a traditional ceremony in Ogun State.

A white wedding followed in Dubai, UAE, which was attended by several of their colleagues. The likes of Alex Unusual, Ifu Ennada, Belinda Effah, Linda Osifo, Frodd, Omashola, and others were at the wedding.
