Zambia and Ghana are turning dialogue into action following the recent Zambia-Ghana Business Dialogue Forum, with approximately $7 million in investments already confirmed as part of the initiative’s “Open Door Policy.” The announcement was made by Zambia’s Minister of Technology and Science, Felix Chipota Mutati, during a post-forum cocktail event.

The forum focused on strengthening collaboration between the two nations, particularly in technology and energy sectors. Ghana’s Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel George, emphasized Ghana’s interest in learning from Zambia’s innovative energy-tech solutions, while Zambia highlighted its efforts to simplify investment procedures to attract Ghanaian tech companies. The forum also served to reinforce Zambia’s national branding initiative, positioning the country as a premier tech hub in Africa.

To further solidify partnerships, Zambia has announced plans to lead a tech delegation to Ghana in March 2026, building on the momentum from the three-day forum. Minister Mutati encouraged tech innovators from both countries to leverage these opportunities, underscoring that the door is open for cross-border collaboration to drive Africa’s technological future.
