Xandy Kamel urges Pastor Elvis to investigate arson attack and not overlook the threat Xandy Kamel urges Pastor Elvis to investigate arson attack and not overlook the threat

Following the alleged arson attack at Grace Mountain Ministry, the church led by Alpha Hour convener Pastor Elvis Agyemang, filmmaker and actress Xandy Kamel has urged the pastor not to treat the matter lightly.

In a video shared on her TikTok page, Xandy Kamel called on the Alpha Hour pastor to thoroughly investigate the situation and get to the root of what transpired.

According to her, Pastor Elvis should not allow anyone to pressure him into forgiving the suspect simply because he is a man of God.

She stressed that being a pastor does not mean he should overlook a serious incident such as an attempted arson attack on his church.

Police probe suspected arson at Alpha Hour convener’s church auditorium

She further noted that if the alleged arson had been successful, many Ghanaians would have levelled false accusations against him, including claims that he used members of his church for sacrifices and other harmful practices.

“Don’t sleep on this or allow people to influence your decision to forgive the suspect. Think outside the box because if your church members were directly affected by the fire, Ghanaians would have accused you falsely.

“Make sure you get to the root of this case and find out the intentions of the lady for which she decided to burn down your church.”

Xandy Kamel continued her caution, adding: “I believe they have tried you and your wife spiritually and couldn’t succeed, and so they decided to go physical. If care is not taken, the next attack might be on your children, so do not let this slide.”

Background

On February 9, 2026, Pastor Elvis Agyemang shared excerpts of CCTV footage showing a woman allegedly spraying a substance suspected to be fuel onto chairs inside the church auditorium before setting them on fire.

Following the incident, the Alpha Hour convener announced the temporary suspension of all in-person activities at the church premises.
