Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers in connection with the abduction of Alhaji Ahmadu in Malabu, Fufore Local Council, with one of the suspects identified as the victim’s biological son.
The suspects — Lawali Haruna, 45; Yahaya Ibrahim, 25; and Da’u Alhaji Ahmadu, 28 — all residents of Jera in Fufore Local Council, were apprehended during an intelligence-led raid conducted with local security stakeholders.
Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed the arrests in a statement yesterday, noting that the operation followed the kidnapping of the victim on January 30, 2026.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested at a suspected kidnappers’ hideout in Jera village during a joint operation involving police operatives and members of Miyetti-Allah.
The command said the suspects had confessed to their involvement in the crime, adding that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victim and apprehend other members of the syndicate.
