As part of its commitment to social responsibility and national development, IReign Christian Family, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach aimed at sensitizing market men and women, artisans, traders, and other low-income earners on taxation and the ongoing tax reforms of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The outreach, which took place at Ikeja, new market, Alade Bus Stop and other commercial clusters, was designed to simplify tax education, address common misconceptions, and promote informed civic participation. Through open conversations, printed materials, and one-on-one engagements, participants were educated on the importance of taxation, and how tax compliance contributes to sustainable national development.

Speaking during the exercise, church representatives of the church emphasized that tax laws are not punitive instruments, but essential tools for economic growth, infrastructure development, and improved public services. The sensitization further highlighted that taxation is neither for nor against any group, but for the collective progress of the nation, especially when implemented transparently and responsibly. Many beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that this was one of the few times tax matters had been explained in a language that felt relatable and practical to everyday Nigerians.

As a faith-based institution, IReign Christian Family, under the leadership of its Presiding Bishop, Feyi Daniels, believes that nation-building goes beyond the walls of worship and includes empowering citizens with knowledge that enables them to participate meaningfully in the country’s economic and civic life. The church therefore encourages Nigerians to do their part by seeking accurate information, engaging constructively with policy changes, and supporting government efforts aimed at strengthening the economy.

In the same spirit, the IReign Christian Family, on behalf of our Presiding Bishop, Feyi Daniels, extends her goodwill to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed, and the leadership of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, wishing them wisdom, strength, and clarity as they continue the task of governance and reform. As the year steadily unfolds, we remain hopeful and prayerful that 2026 will be a year of greater understanding, shared responsibility, and measurable progress for all Nigerians.
