The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) says it has seized and is managing a range of high-value assets linked to the ongoing criminal case against former National Petroleum Authority (NPA) CEO, Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, and nine others.
This disclosure appears in the 2025 Half-Yearly Report, issued and signed by Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng. The seized properties form part of exhibits in The Republic v Mustapha Abdul-Hamid & Nine Others (CR/0603/2025), currently before the Criminal High Court in Accra.
Among the assets under OSP management are four fuel stations in Opeikuma, Dansoman, Abeka Lapaz, and Millennium City, as well as GH¢951,995.56 in cash, a report by graphic.com.gh has said.
The office has also taken control of parcels of land across the country, including Tamale valued at GH¢9.93 million, Haatso at GH¢2.737 million, Danyame in Kumasi at GH¢4.766 million, and an unvalued plot in Adenta.

The OSP said it is further managing high-end residential properties in prime Accra areas, including a two-storey building at East Legon valued at GH¢12.7 million, and apartments in Airport Residential Area, Boundary Road, Roman Ridge, and Adjiringanor, each worth several million cedis.
Additional assets include six-unit residential blocks at Agbogba valued at GH¢10 million, 23 fuel tanker trucks, and unfinished apartment developments in Airport City and Roman Ridge.
Separately, the OSP has seized luxury vehicles worth GH¢18.6 million in connection with its investigation into the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF). These include a Rolls-Royce Mansory Phantom, Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680, Mercedes-Benz Brabus 800, Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, Lexus LX600, and two Fiat bullion vans.
The asset seizures follow criminal charges against Dr Abdul-Hamid and others, including former and current NPA officials and three private companies, for allegedly conspiring to extort over GH¢291 million from petroleum sector players.
Prosecutors allege that between December 2022 and December 2024, the accused “illegally obtained GH¢291,574,087.19 and US$332,407.47 from bulk oil transporters and oil marketing companies, despite knowing they had no lawful authority to do so.”
Those charged include Jacob Kwamina Amuah, Wendy Newman, Albert Ankrah, Isaac Mensah, Bright Bediako-Mensah, and Kwaku Aboagye Acquaah, alongside Propnest Limited, KEL Logistics Limited, and Kings Energy Limited.
The case remains before the High Court as the OSP continues asset-tracing, seizure, and prosecution processes.
