Dumsor must stop vigil scheduled for May 25 –

Actress Yvonne Nelson has written to the Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare announcing her intention to organize a vigil over the erratic power cuts in the country.

In the letter, the actress states that the vigil will be held on May 25 to drum home the need for the government to work at ensuring stable power in the country.

It is expected that participants of the vigil will converge at the Revolution grounds at 8:00 am and disperse at midnight.

This will be the second time Ghanaians will be organizing a vigil over the erratic power supply.

In 2015, Yvonne Nelson and some colleagues of hers hit the streets of Accra to demonstrate in order to drum home the need for government to keep the lights on after 4 years of battling with erratic power supply.
