Citi Business Festival begins; week one focuses on digital economy

The 2023 edition of the Citi Business Festival organized by Citi TV/Citi FM begins today, Monday, June 5, 2023.

The first-week delves into the ‘The Digital Economy’ with the first episode of the radio series airing later today.

It will feature, Franklin Asare, Chief Executive Officer of Tech Gulf Ghana Limited.

Franklin Asare will speak on ‘Understanding the Digital Economy’ in a 30-minute conversation with Bernard Avle, host of the Citi Breakfast Show.

On Tuesday, June 6, there will also be a live TV forum that will focus on reimagining the digital economy as seasoned panellists explore the possibilities for businesses in the fourth industrial revolution.

The panel will include Franklin Asare, CEO of Tech Gulf, Bendict Bentil, Snr. Manager, Enterprise Marketing & Portfolio Mgt., MTN, Claude Agyen-Asamoah, Head, Payments and Digital Commercialization, Absa and Andrew Takyi-Appiah, Founder/CEO of Zeepay.

It will be moderated by the Head of News at Citi TV/Citi FM, Vivian Kai Lokko.

The radio on-air series is live at 9:05am every Monday to Thursday on the Citi Breakfast Show. On Fridays however, it airs at 7:10am.

There will be a repeat broadcast every weekday at 6:30pm on 97.3 Citi FM.

The annual Citi Business Festival is a month-long initiative marked with on-air and outdoor events in the month of June to equip Ghanaian businesses with strategies to grow and scale up while meeting emerging trade and commerce trends.

This year, it is themed generally around the Made it Ghana Agenda.

Aside from the on-air series, there will be weekly forums on Citi TV every Tuesday to hold discussions on the theme for the week as well as special TV feature stories aimed at showcasing indigenous Ghanaian businesses.

Later from June 26-July 1, there will be a residential executive management booth camp to help business managers reach new markets and develop new revenue sources through innovation.

Week 3: Retail and Consumer Markets

Week 4: Agribusiness Ecosystem
