“I could play ‘The Law’ all day, everyday” – Layi Wasabi on his favorite skit character

Skit maker Layi Wasabi recently sat down for an interview, and he relayed how he got his famous suit, which he uses in most of his videos.

According to Layi Wasabi, he inherited the oversized suits from his grandfather, including the shoes which he wears in his skits.

Layi Wasabi said he was just rummaging through his grandfather’s things when he discovered the suit. He also said that suit is older than him, and he has five more in his possession.

The suit Layi Wasabi was talking about is one of his most loved trademarks in the skit making industry. He makes videos, portraying a hilarious character called ‘The law’.

Speaking on ‘The law’, Layi Wasabi said that it is a character that comes to him naturally, and without stress.

He also made mention of the strategy that comes into play for creating his skits, and how he plans them out before executing.

Over time, Layi Wasabi has grown to become one of the most famous skit makers in Nigeria. He has often been commended for making skits without using vulgar words or featuring scantily dressed woman like most of his colleagues.

Apart from making skits, Layi Wasabi has also recently entered the movie industry with appearances in movies like Anikulapo.

While Layi Wasabi seems to be having a good time and growing in his career, not all his colleagues can relate.

Recently, netizens called out Carter Efe and Sydneytalker for using Khaid as a means to trend.

It all started when a video of Khaid on a hospital bed was released, after which Sydneytalker asked for prayers over the singer’s health.

Carter Efe went on a live rant shortly after that, claiming that Sydneytalker had not been picking his calls, and had refused to give him an update on Khaid health.

Netizens weren’t having it with Carter Efe’s allegations, as a lot of comments bordered on Carter’s video being a PR stunt to trend before Khaid releases an album.

Despite the fact that Carter Efe’s video went viral, Sydneytalker hasn’t come out to clear the air, and there’s still no public statement about Khaid’s health.
