Junior Starlets are set to face Uganda in the second round of the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, with the first leg set for Friday, 22 May at FUFA Stadium, before a return match on Saturday, 30 May at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Speaking ahead of their departure to Uganda, Cheche explained the absence of two key players from her final squad.
“For the squad, we have two changes because of two players who are nursing injuries. Rose (Nangila) got injured while in school in Uganda, and Lindey (Atieno) is struggling with a waist injury, and she cannot run effectively for about two weeks,” said Cheche.
