Roger reunited with his boss Carlos Queiroz following his appointment as new Black Stars head coach in April, 2025. Carlos replaced Otto Addo who got sacked the night after losing to Germany in an international friendly game in March.
Despite Roger De Sa coming in contact with Ghana in a short time, has observed the huge talent in the country but quiet dumbfounded with the limited resources at their exposure.
Disclosing that, his country [South Africa] can only boost of facilities but not talent as compared to four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners, Ghana.
“There is so much natural talent in Ghana despite limited resources. As an African football lover, the talent here is unbelievable”, he said.
“You guys don’t know what you have with limited facilities and infrastructure. We in South Africa have talent too, but a different kind with all the facilities”
“Yet we don’t go forward with our talent.” He said in an interview with Beyond The Whistle podcast.
Ghana is heading to their fifth FIFA World Cup tournament and expected to excel with Carlos Queiroz and his constituted technical team in the tournament slated for the summer in USA, Canada and Mexico.
The Black Stars will begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, before taking on England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
