A Nigerian Law School Student in the United States of America, Victoria Adenuga has urged Nigerian Youths to follow the legitimate routes when deciding to leave the country.
The Law Student gave this advice while speaking to journalists on the ills befalling Nigerian youths travelling through illegal routes in the name of greener pastures.
Adenuga stated that while it is good to have a foreign experience in all ramifications, it is equally important to ensure the right steps are taken in order to (avoid self-blame) not to have oneself blamed in the long run.
Meanwhile, She eulogized Nigerian youths for being assiduous and unrelenting in the struggles of life.
Victoria also praised them for standing firm despite the issues of inflation and political upheavals in the country.
She prayed for them that the almighty God will meet them at the point of their needs, while still urging them to do the right thing when making travel decisions.
“It just occured to me that it is important I speak to my fellow youths regarding the “Japa” syndrome. I have seen videos and heard complaints.
“Please, make sure you travel using the right channels and with complete papers when making travel decisions. Whether to the United Kingdom, Canada, United States of America, Europe or any other country.
“Yes, we are all in it. We know what is happening in our country, but we should not risk our lives at the end of the day while trying to chase our dreams.
“Let us make sure that we go through the right paths by submitting the necessary papers required, without forgery, declare our intentions and be advocates of peace.
“It is equally important to eulogise Nigerian youths. Despite the struggles of inflation and economic woes, our youths are unrelenting and forward-thinking.
“Because of this, I pray the almighty God meets you all at the point of your needs and make your dreams come true.” She said.
