In Ghana, former Member of Parliament Nana Akomea is leading in the race for the position of first vice national chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to an APL research report, the organization predicts his victory in the party’s internal elections.

APL forecast

According to MyJoyOnline, Akomea is ahead of his competitors by 21.5 percentage points. The research organization’s findings indicate his significant advantage among surveyed delegates and other study participants.

More current news is available on the UA.News Telegram channel Telegram.

At the same time, APL’s forecast does not determine the final winner of the race. The party’s first vice national chairman will be elected by accredited NPP delegates, whose voting will determine the result.

Candidate’s experience

Nana Akomea previously served as a Member of Parliament, minister of manpower and youth employment, and chief executive officer of the State Transport Company. He was also the NPP’s communications director during the period preceding the party’s victory in the 2016 general elections.
