Firm Unveils AI Platform for Brand Intelligence in Nigeria

Nigerian technology startup, FlashNarrative, has launched an artificial intelligence-powered brand intelligence platform to help organisations monitor reputation, analyse media narratives and make faster communication decisions.

The platform, co-founded by Elvis Ebenuwah, Toluwaninse Odewabi, Al-Hameen Mohammed and Michael Atuorah, combines AI, media monitoring and analytics to track how brands are discussed across news, digital and social media platforms.

In a statement, FlashNarrative said its platform monitors more than 1,000 data sources and uses AI to analyse conversations, identify sentiment, detect emerging narratives, flag reputational risks and track competitive movements.

A key feature of the platform is its ability to interpret local languages and digital expressions, including Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa-influenced expressions.

It also analyses code-switching, slang and cultural context in online conversations, allowing organisations to understand the context behind public discussions rather than simply count brand mentions.

The startup said the platform provides intelligence metrics such as Share of Voice, Media Impact Score and Message Penetration Index to help communication and marketing teams measure visibility, media impact, competitive positioning and messaging effectiveness.

“The future of brand intelligence goes beyond simply tracking where a brand is mentioned. It is about understanding the context behind conversations, identifying emerging shifts and translating those insights into timely, informed decisions. This is the intelligence FlashNarrative is designed to deliver,” the co-founders said.

The company said the platform could help organisations identify reputation risks before they escalate, particularly in sectors such as financial services, fintech, telecommunications and consumer businesses.

FlashNarrative said the technology was developed in Nigeria with a global market in mind, noting that it seeks to enhance traditional media monitoring by integrating contextual intelligence with measurable communication outcomes.
