Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have confirmed that defender Lord Amoah will lead the team into the 2026/27 football season as their captain.
In a social media post on Thursday, September 3, the club said new head coach Eric Tinkler selected Amoah. Hamzata Musah will deputise for the former Berekum Chelsea full-back.
With the two captains confirmed, they will be expected to step up in their roles and ensure the playing body puts up a top performance in the upcoming football season.
Coach Eric Tinkler hopes the new captains will lead by example and marshal his squad to give everything in their quest to win both the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup at the end of the campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors will begin their campaign on Sunday, September 6, when they face Debibi United on Matchday 1 of the Ghana Premier League.
