Speaking during a recent episode of the Honest Bunch podcast, the singer said he sold sachet water to pay his way through secondary school because his family could not afford the fees.
“I didn’t finish my education. When I was going to secondary school, I sold pure water to attend ODC. I didn’t see anybody to sponsor me cause the school fees was high,” he said.
Portable, however, disclosed that he has returned to school and is currently studying Business Administration at Kwara Polytechnic.
“I will soon finish school cause I’m currently a student of Kwara Polytechnic studying Business Administration. I was once called olodo in my family but now I am the one feeding them,” he added.
The singer also expressed frustration over the challenges facing his siblings, saying despite his father sending his brothers and sisters to school, they are yet to secure jobs or receive government support.
“My father sent my sisters to school, even my brothers, but I am in pain cause why has government not given them money or even a job cause I am the one feeding them now,” Portable said.
