All 104 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be televised this summer, airing across FOX, FS1, Telemundo, and Universo. These channels are available on platforms like DirecTV and YouTube TV, but if you’re not already a subscriber to one of their plans, there’s good news: you can sign up to watch all the World Cup action for $0 with one of their free trials. Plus, platforms like FOX One, which carries every game in English, and Peacock, which will be streaming every match in Spanish, are both available for free, either as part of a trial or through third-party providers.

Here’s what you need to know if you want to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup for free. Find out which channels games will be airing on and how to stream them without paying for cable.

Dates: June 11 – July 19, 2026

Channels: FOX, FS1, Telemundo, Universo

Streaming: Fox One, Peacock, DirecTV, Fubo, and more

When is the 2026 FIFA World Cup?

The 2026 World Cup runs from June 11 until July 19.

What channels are showing the 2026 World Cup games?

FOX and FS1 will be broadcasting every World Cup game in English. Spanish-language broadcasts of every World Cup game will air on Telemundo and Universo.

How to watch the 2026 World Cup for free:

There are several ways to watch World Cup games for free in 2026. For viewers who want to watch games in Spanish, you can get Peacock for free with services like Walmart+ and Instacart. And to watch English-language broadcasts on FOX and FS1, you can find those channels on several different services, all of which offer free trials.

You can try FOX One free for 7 days, Fubo, and DirecTV for 5 days. For the longest trial of all of them, try YouTube TV free for 21 days. Better still, an antenna will get you access to Fox stations for free, too.

Fox

FOX One is a relatively new streaming service from FOX that launched last summer. With a subscription to FOX One, you can tune in to all your favorite FOX channels like FOX News, FOX Sports, FOX Weather, FS1, FS2, FOX Business, FOX Deportes, Big Ten Network (B1G), and local FOX stations all in one place.

FOX One offers live programming, as well as shows and movies on demand. At launch, the base price for FOX One will cost $19.99 a month, or you can save with an annual subscription for $199.99, but before you commit to a subscription, you can try it free for 7 days, which means you can catch at least a few World Cup games for nothing.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV gets you all the channels you need to watch the 2026 World Cup, including Fox, FS1, Universo and Telemundo.

Right now, you can get a great deal on YouTube TV right now: $67.99/month for your first five months, then $82.99/month thereafter, and you can try it all for free for 21 days.

One thing to note: YouTube TV livestreams tend to run a slight delay, which isn’t ideal if you’re trying to keep up with the live game down to the exact second.

DirecTV

DirecTV’s Entertainment tier (currently $59.99 for your first month, then $89.99 thereafter) gets you access to nearly every channel you need to watch the World Cup: Fox, FS1 and Telemundo. DirecTV Entertainment also comes with free ESPN Unlimited, which gets you access to every ESPN channel, an amazing value and a must for watching tons of sports all year round.

DirecTV offers a free 5-day trial on any tier, so you can try it all out at low risk. After your free trial and new subscriber month deal on DirecTV’s Entertainment tier, the monthly price goes up to $89.99/month.  If you’re interested in trying a live TV streaming service but aren’t ready to commit, we recommend starting with DirecTV.

Walmart+

Peacock is home to all kinds of original content, from Emmy Award-winning reality series The Traitors to Poker Face and Twisted Metal. In addition to original content, the platform has an impressive library of shows from NBC and Bravo, thousands of movies, and live sports.

While a regular Peacock subscription begins at $10.99 for a Premium Plan and goes up to $16.99 for the ad-free Premium Plus plan, you can get an ad-supported subscription for free if you’re a Walmart+ subscriber.

Walmart+ members actually get their choice between Paramount+ or Peacock included in their membership at no additional cost. A monthly subscription to Walmart+ costs $12.99, and an annual plan usually costs $98 — for free Peacock, and additional perks like five free months of Apple Music, discounts on Cinemark movie theater memberships, free shipping and delivery on Walmart purchases, discounts on gas, and much more. Qualifying students and customers receiving government assistance are eligible for 50% off Walmart+, which means that subscriptions for some customers runs as low as $49/year.
