The Paramount Chief of Buipe, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, has honoured the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, for what he described as his leadership and contribution to Ghana’s economic transformation.
The recognition was conferred during a courtesy visit by the traditional ruler to GoldBod, where he presented Sammy Gyamfi with a traditional smock and a symbolic spear medal.
The symbolic spear medal is regarded as one of the highest honours in Gonjaland and was presented as a mark of appreciation for the GoldBod CEO’s service to the country.
In a statement issued via social media on Thursday, June 4, GoldBod said the honour was in recognition of the CEO’s leadership qualities and commitment to national development.
“The Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, Esq., has been honoured by the Paramount Chief of Buipe, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, humility, selflessness, and contribution to Ghana’s economic transformation through the work of GoldBod,” the statement said.
Sammy Gyamfi, who received the honour, expressed appreciation to the Buipewura and reaffirmed his commitment to the mandate of GoldBod.
The statement noted that the engagement also served as a platform for discussions on economic development opportunities in the Savannah Region.
“The engagement also provided an opportunity for fruitful discussions on agriculture, industrialisation, and investment prospects in the Savannah Region,” GoldBod stated.
According to the statement, both leaders highlighted the need for sustainable development, job creation and value addition to Ghana’s natural resources as essential elements for national growth.
