Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem faces a fresh dispute with the Pakistan Sports Board after travelling to South Africa for training without reportedly getting a required NOC.

Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem is facing a dispute with Pakistan’s sports authorities. The reason behind the dispute is Arshad’s travel to South Africa. He went to South Africa for training without reportedly getting a required No Objection Certificate (NOC). He went there to train with his former coach Terseus Liebenberg ahead of important competitions in September.

Why did Arshad Nadeem travel to South Africa?

According to the latest sports news, Arshad Nadeem left Pakistan last week to train under Terseus Liebenberg in South Africa. He chose to train there for his upcoming international events. He chose to do so after his bad performance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Nadeem is now working to improve his form before his next major matches. However, the Pakistan Sports Board ( PSB) said Nadeem did not inform board about his trip before leaving Pakistan

Pakistan Sports Board raises NOC issue

The Pakistan Sports Board said that athletes need official clearance before travelling abroad for training. According to the board’s rule, athletes must get approval from both their sports federation and the board. Officials said Arshad Nadeem travelled to South Africa without completing this process. The issue could create problems for Nadeem’s future international travel. If the matter is not resolved properly.

Nadeem preparing for September events

Nadeem is currently preparing for the World Ultimate Athletics Championship. The event will take place in Hungary from September 11 to 13. After that he is expected to travel to Japan for the Asian Games. The game is scheduled from September 19 to October 4. The competition will be important for Nadeem as he is looking forward to making a comeback. His coach Terseus Liebenbery had supported him to improve. Liebenberg said Nadeem worked for many years to become Pakistan’s first individual Olympic champion.
