Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar dey lead as di African Democratic Congress (ADC) begin collation of results for di presidential primary on Monday night.

From di results wey dem don count, e dey ahead of im rivals Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen for Yobe, Zamfara and Sokoto states. E also dey lead for Adamawa, Kaduna, Edo, Enugu and Nasarawa states as results dey enta from di wards.

Di chairperson of di ADC electoral committee for Zamfara, Muhammad Musa, wey announce di result for Gusau on Monday declare Atiku Abubakar as di winner of di presidential primary election for di state.

Oga Musa say Atiku get 60,500 votes to defeat Oga Hayatu-deen, wey score 446 votes, and Oga Amaechi, wey secure 191 votes.

E explain say di primary hold across all 147 wards for di 14 Local Government Areas of Zamfara in line wit di party guidelines and di Electoral Act, 2026.

According to him, 63,484 party members register for di exercise, and 61,137 pipo cast dia vote.

“Having fulfilled di ADC guidelines plus di Electoral Act, 2026, and having scored di highest votes, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar dey hereby returned as di party presidential candidate for Zamfara,” Musa announce.

For Yobe state, di former vice president gada 44,841 to defeat im challengers for di primary wey hold across di 178 political wards for di 17 local government areas.

Chairperson of di electoral committee, Hajiya Ma’am Kyari, say Amaechi get 300 votes, while Hayatu Deen gada 365 votes.

Di former vice president also dey lead for Adamawa, Sokoto, Kaduna, Edo, Enugu and Nasarawa states as results dey come in from di wards.

Atiku also win di presidential primary for Sokoto State by a wide margin.

Di Chief Collation Officer, Aminu Abubakar, say e secure 68,823 votes across di 23 local government areas.

Oga Abubakar say dem cast 69,434 during di exercise. Di former Rivers governor, Rotimi Amaechi, get 292 votes and Muhammad Hayatu-deen secure 319 votes.

Atiku, Amaechi, Hayatu-Deen hustle for ADC Presidential ticket

Na on Monday, di ADC start di process to choose di presidential candidate wey go face President Bola Tinubu for di 2027 presidential election.

Party members across di 36 states of di federation plus di Federal Capital Territory dey expected to participate for di presidential primaries wey go hold on Monday, 25 May.
