Kachikwu Faction Holds National Meeting in A

The Dumebi Kachikwu-led faction of the African Democratic Congress has announced plans to hold its national convention in Abuja on Sunday (today) as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

This was disclosed in a press invitation issued by the Acting National Working Committee Chairman of the ADC faction, Kingsley Temitope Ogah on Sunday.

Ogah stated that the convention would bring together party leaders, delegates, state executives, youth and women representatives, as well as political stakeholders from across the country.

“The convention is part of the party’s strategic preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections and is expected to bring together party leaders, delegates, state executives, youth and women representatives, and political stakeholders from across the federation.

“The gathering will deliberate on the future direction of the party, strengthen its internal democratic structures, and oversee the emergence of members of the National Working Committee, as well as other critical decisions concerning the party’s participation in the 2027 electoral process.

“The convention will also provide a platform for robust discussions on national development, political inclusion, grassroots mobilisation, and the need to build a stronger democratic alternative capable of addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges,” the press statement added.

The event, which is scheduled to hold at A-Class Garden in Wuse 2 in Abuja, is expected to commence by 3 pm.
