Kumasi, May 24, GNA – Christian Service University (CSU) has launched a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Christian Leadership and Management programme aimed at equipping current and aspiring leaders with advanced theological, leadership and management skills.

A press release copied to the Ghana News Agency and signed by Mrs. Anastasia Cudjoe Afenu, Assistant Registrar of the University, said the flagship programme was designed to integrate Christian principles with practical leadership in diverse professional and ministry contexts.

It said the programme was open to applicants holding Master’s degrees from accredited institutions, including graduates in theology, divinity, religious studies, engineering, medicine, banking, education and entrepreneurship.

The release explained that the programme would run for three years through a hybrid mode combining in-person and online learning, with an option for fully online studies.

It said students would undertake one year of taught courses followed by two years of thesis work, adding that the programme would focus on Christian leadership, ethical management, organisational influence and practical ministry.

According to the release, applications for admission would open from June 1 to July 15, 2026, while the programme itself is scheduled to commence in September 2026.

The University said the official launch ceremony would take place at the CSU campus in Kumasi on June 1, 2026, at 1000 hours.

The event is expected to attract academics, government officials, church leaders and other stakeholders.

Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante, Chancellor of the University and former Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, would deliver the keynote address on the theme: “Bridging Scholarship and Practice: The Role of the Doctor of Ministry in Contemporary Church and Societal Leadership.”

The release noted that the DMin programme would feature experienced lecturers and supervisors, flexible learning arrangements, an inclusive admission structure, and a strong emphasis on ethical leadership and integrity.

It said the introduction of the programme underscored CSU’s commitment to developing leaders who combined faith, scholarship and practice to positively impact churches, organisations and society.
