The Polish side was represented by Anna Leśnodorska, Deputy Director of the PAIH Export Support Department for Africa and the Middle East; Łukasz Słoniowski, Head of the PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Nairobi; Magdalena Moryksiewicz, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Poland; Colonel Radosław Grabski, Defence Attaché; and Dr. Manish Shah, the newly appointed Honorary Consul of th of Poland in Mombasa. On the Kenyan side, the Forum was attended by representatives of the Invest Kenya and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, including Director Hussein Adan representing PS Abubakar Hassan, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Defence, Kenyan entrepreneurs, and representatives of business support institutions.
The event was attended by 240 participants, including over 50 representatives of Polish companies representing the food, agrotechnical, construction, cosmetics, infrastructure, logistics, IT, and industrial technology sectors, as well as representatives of the BGK (Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego). The arms industry, including dual-use companies, was particularly well-attended, with companies such as WB Group, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (Polish Arms Group), Patron, P.W. PA-KO, Fabryka Broni “Łucznik,” Farada Group, and Integra.
During the Forum’s opening, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Kenyan Institute of Road and Construction Technology (KIHBT) and the Polish company Best Truck Driver Sp. z o. o., which concerns the development of training for truck and bus drivers using virtual reality simulation technology.
Discussions focused on specific export and investment opportunities, practical aspects of entering the Kenyan market, available support instruments, and sectors in which Polish companies can build a sustainable presence in Kenya. During the Forum, Poland’s commitment to strengthening the presence of Polish businesses in Kenya and strengthening economic cooperation throughout East Africa was reaffirmed. The event provided an opportunity to showcase the rapid development of the Polish high-tech sector, which provides advanced solutions in banking, cybersecurity, transport, education, agri-food systems, and artificial intelligence-based technologies. The meeting served to highlight Kenya’s position as a key investment gateway for Africa, growing bilateral trade, and Poland’s status as one of the world’s 20 largest economies.
The Forum also concluded with networking sessions, including separate sessions for the banking (Asseco) and defence sectors. Additionally, on the sidelines of the event, several companies presented their offers and products at exhibition stands.
