Former Zimbabwe coach Zdravko Logarusic has tipped the Black Stars to shine over Colombia in their upcoming round of 32 encounter.

The ex-King Faisal FC and Asante Kotoko SC gaffer believe Ghana has the football machinery to defeat Colombia in the next round of the tournament, after Ghana finishing amongst third best placed teams of the groups. Zdravko highlighted that the Black Stars are physically strong and have good quality on the field to come toe-toe with any opponent in the world.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com, the Croatian trainer hinted that, should Ghana fail to go pass Colombia, reveal they are not strong enough for the global showpiece.

He also acknowledged the experience hands of the technical team, strengthened for the Mundial.

“Let’s make it simple without emotions. Ghana can play against any team in the world because they are good physically and have speed and stamina for any opponent. No team in the world can easily say, they will beat Ghana… Ghana has a strong team. “

“The Ghanaian national team now has some experienced coaches and good quality players on the pitch to overcome any opponent. If they can not overcome Colombia and Switzerland, then they’re not strong enough because they’re not teams that Ghana should be scared. “

Zdravko asserted that the Black Stars has all it takes to appear at the semi finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup should they elimate Colombia and Switzerland.

“Looking at the path of Ghana, they have a fantastic opportunity to reach the semi finals of the world Cup. They have quality on the field to do that. “

Ghana will come up against Colombia in the Round of 32 on Saturday at the Kansas City Stadium. The winner of the encounter face off with Switzerland in the round of 16.
