The Presidential candidate for the People’s National Party (PNP) in the 2024 Ghanaian general election, Janet Nabla, has criticised the government’s stance on corruption, questioning its moral authority to accuse political opponents.
She rejected comparisons with previous administrations during an interview on Joy Prime on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as monitored by MyNewsGh.
“There’s no member of the NDC who has the moral authority to call the NPP corrupt,” she said.
“If the NPP are thieves, then you are armed robbers.”
She argued that political discourse should shift from blame to performance. “Ghanaians voted out the previous government because they did not perform. You are in now and performing worse,” she stated.
Janet Nabla also criticised the government’s communication approach. “Stop telling us what the NPP did. Tell us what you have done and how you will improve things,” she said.
