Redeemer’s University has formally entered Nigeria’s executive business education space with the inauguration of its Business School, a move aimed at raising a new generation of ethically grounded business leaders.

Redeemer’s University has inaugurated its Business School, marking its official entry into executive business education in Nigeria.

The inauguration ceremony of the Redeemer’s University Business School, located at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State, attracted key stakeholders from academia, industry, and the faith-based community.

The Wife of the Visitor to the university and Mother-in-Israel of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Folu Adeboye, who officially declared the institution open, offered prayers for its success, expressing confidence in its future growth and impact.

Speaking at the event, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, described the Business School as a strategic intervention designed to address the growing need for integrity-driven leadership in the business environment.

He noted that the institution was established not merely as an addition to existing programmes, but as a deliberate effort to nurture values-based professionals.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, appreciated the newly appointed board members, which include seasoned corporate executives, for accepting the responsibility to position the Business School as a leading institution in executive education.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, Pastor Kayode Pitan, emphasised the institution’s commitment to producing graduates who combine professional excellence with strong moral values.

He stressed that beyond delivering an excellent curriculum, the school is focused on raising individuals who will make meaningful contributions to national development.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Morgan Bank, Mr. Ade Buraimo, who is among the newly inaugurated board members, expressed optimism about the future of the Business School.

He noted that the board comprises individuals with exposure to leading global institutions, including Harvard, and pledged to leverage their collective experience to drive the school’s growth.

Buraimo added that the school’s proximity to Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, would serve as a strategic advantage, enabling it to deliver practical, industry-relevant training.

He assured that graduates of the institution would be equipped not only with technical expertise but also with the moral discipline required to excel in the marketplace.

“We will take advantage of our closeness to the commercial nerve centre of the country which is Lagos.

“We wil bring our wealth of knowledge into the management of the Business School to ensure that all our graduates will not just be professionally superior technocrats, but morally sound also.”
