FIFA Series: Kenya falls to Estonia on penalties

Kenya saw their campaign end in the semi-finals of the FIFA Series after a frustrating defeat to Estonia (1-1, 5-4 on penalties).

Pushed back in the first half, the Harambee Stars conceded the opening goal from a set piece, allowing the Estonians to take the lead before the break. Lacking inspiration in the first 45 minutes, Kenya came out a completely different team after halftime.

More aggressive and dominant in possession, the Kenyans gradually took control of the match. Their pressing and wing play eventually paid off with a deserved equaliser, completely reigniting the contest. Despite several late chances, Kenya couldn’t find the winner before the penalty shootout—a cruel decider that ultimately went Estonia’s way (5-4).

A frustrating elimination for Kenya, who can still take heart from their second-half response and several promising signs for the future.
