Infinix Unveils Note 60 Pro in Kenya with a 6000mAh Battery

Infinix launched the Note 60 Pro in Kenya today, and it comes packed with enough interesting features to be worth a proper look, especially at its price point.

The Chip Powering It Is a First for Infinix

The Note 60 Pro is the first Infinix phone to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, Qualcomm’s mid-range chip that punches well above the usual mid-range ceiling. Compared to the Note 50 Pro, Infinix claims 75% faster CPU performance and a 210% improvement in GPU rendering.

Those are big numbers, and Infinix says they worked directly with Qualcomm to tune their own performance engine on top of the hardware, resulting in a 25% boost in multitasking.

For gamers specifically, the phone has been optimized for Call of Duty: Mobile. To stop things from getting too hot during long sessions, Infinix built in a 3D IceCore Vapor Chamber cooling system with a 0.36mm copper sheet that channels heat away from the chip, keeping temperatures up to 3°C cooler under load.

Design, Display, and Audio

The standout design feature here is the Active Matrix Display, a small LED panel on the back of the phone that stays completely invisible when off, then lights up to show notifications, animated characters, mini-games, or whatever custom pattern the user sets.

.

It can display incoming call alerts, messages, and other at-a-glance info without you needing to flip the phone over and wake the main screen.

On the front, you get a 1.5K display running at 144Hz with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, meaning it stays readable in direct sunlight. The glass is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which is the same protection tier found on significantly more expensive phones.

Infinix also included motion sickness prevention technology in the display software, aimed at people who get queasy reading or gaming while commuting.

Meanwhile, audio is handled by a dual-speaker setup tuned by JBL.

Camera and Battery

The main camera is a 50MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), which Infinix is calling the Night Master Camera. OIS at this price is not universal, and it makes a difference for video stability and low-light shots.

It pairs with a 112° ultrawide sensor for wide shots, group photos, and landscapes.

More interesting is the inclusion of Infinix’s first Ultra HDR imaging pipeline, which means the phone captures, processes, and displays HDR in a full chain rather than faking it in post.

The result is better shadow and highlight detail in a single shot. There’s also a new Live Photo mode that adds motion to still images, 2x Lossless Portrait Zoom, 4K Ultra-Steady Video, and an AI editing tool called Infinix AI Studio built in.

The Note 60 Pro has a 6,000mAh battery, which is large but not unusual in this segment. What is unusual is what Infinix calls a self-healing battery, a system that automatically repairs internal battery materials over time, extending its effective lifespan by up to 200 charge cycles.

The claim is at least 6 years of reliable battery performance. This is described as an industry first, and if it works as advertised, it directly addresses one of the most frustrating parts of smartphone ownership: battery degradation over time.

Charging is 90W wired and 30W wireless, with an Infinix MegaCharge case included in the box to ensure proper wireless alignment. Software support is covered by XOS 16, with three major OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches promised.

When it comes to build quality, the frame is a single-piece high-strength aluminum alloy with a micro-matte texture and IP64 dust and splash resistance.

A dedicated One-Tap Button on the frame can be customized to activate Silent Mode, the flashlight, or other shortcuts. The phone also includes an Advanced Health Monitor that tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, and long-term heart rate variability (HRV).

Pricing and Availability

The Infinix Note 60 Pro is available now in Kenya in Solar Orange, Deep Ocean Blue, and Frost Silver. There’s one configuration: 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at KES 41,999.

Buyers also get three launch gifts, including a free XWATCH 3GT worth KES 4,500, a KES 1,500 trade-in voucher via Carlcare, and a KES 2,200 discount on a down payment through Onfon’s Lipa Pole Pole installment plan.
