Krachi East MP thanks Lordina Mahama for bringing healthcare to mothers

Dambai (O/R) March 2, GNA- Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Krachi East constituency, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama for constructing a maternity and children’s ward in his constituency. 

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) the MP praised Lordina Mahama’s efforts in bringing quality healthcare closer to mothers and children in Krachi East of the Oti Region. 

Mr Djabab stated that the facility would make a huge difference in the lives of his people especially, pregnant women and newborns in the area. 

During the engagement with the GNA, the MP highlighted some challenges faced by residents in accessing quality healthcare services, noting that the new ward would reduce referrals and ensure timely medical attention. 

He gave assurance that he would continue to implement sustainable policies and projects that would help to improve the overall well-being of the people in his constituency. 

However, he asked the staff who would work in the facility to ensure proper maintenance of the edifice to help guarantee its longevity. 

Nana Odam Gyamfi, president of Akroso Traditional Council, applauded Mrs Lordina Mahama for building a modern maternity and children’s ward in the area which was opened to public used on February 28, 2026.
