For the first pricing window of March 2026, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has revised its floor prices for petroleum products in Ghana, covering the period from March 1 to March 15, 2026.

Under the new price floor, motorists are expected to pay GH¢10.46 per litre of petrol and GH¢11.42 per litre of diesel.

The NPA has stated that no Oil Marketing Company (OMC) is permitted to sell below the revised prices.

This represents a slight increase compared to the second pricing window of February 2026, when petrol sold at GH¢10.24 per litre.

Checks by GhanaWeb Business on Monday [March 2] morning showed that several fuel stations had already adjusted their prices in line with the new directive.

At Star Oil, petrol is selling at GH¢10.97 and diesel at GH¢12.49. However, discounted prices are available at GH¢10.46 for petrol and GH¢11.97 for diesel. RON 95 remains unchanged at GH¢12.97.

GOIL has also revised its prices, with petrol now at GH¢10.46, diesel at GH¢12.53, and Super XP at GH¢13.50. Smaller OMCs have similarly adjusted their prices to comply with the NPA directive.

Impact on consumers

The latest adjustment is expected to increase operational costs for businesses and households. For consumers, the fuel price hike could translate into higher prices for goods and services, as motorists and vehicle owners will likely spend more on fuel in the coming days.
