The Bauchi State Police Command has announced a major security deployment across troubled communities in Alkaleri Local Government Area, of the state following renewed security concerns in parts of the council.
Addressing journalists at the State Police Headquarters on Yandoka Road, Bauchi, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, said the Command in collaboration with other security agencies, has launched coordinated operations in Gwana, Digare, and Kafin Duguri to combat criminal activities and restore calm.
According to the Police Commissioner, the joint operation involved the Nigeria Police Force, the Military, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security outfits.
He explained that the affected communities located within Alkaleri Local Government Area have faced repeated security threats due to infiltration by criminal elements from neighboring states
.“Following a thorough security assessment, we have initiated a massive deployment of joint security personnel to the affected communities to suppress criminal elements,” he said
The Command assured residents of Mansur town, particularly those who fled their homes in fear, that the situation is under control and that the town remains unaffected by the recent incidents in nearby Gwana District.
The Police Command confirmed that the ongoing operations are being supported by the Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, noting that the collaboration is already yielding positive results in stabilizing the area.

CP Sani Aliyu emphasized that Bauchi State will not serve as a safe haven for bandits or kidnappers, stressing that enhanced operational equipment and intelligence-driven operations have been deployed to eliminate criminal networks.
The Command also called on residents to support the ongoing operations by providing timely and credible information to security agencies, urging them to remain vigilant and report suspicious persons, movements, or objects, assuring that informants’ identities will be fully protected.
